AEP Designation Lunch & Learn

***AEP Designation Requirements***
Members with a minimum of 10 years actively engaged in estate planning are invited to this special lunch meeting to provide information on the benefits of obtaining your AEP designation through the Council nomination process. All applicants must meet the following qualifications and requirements:
- Active practice for a minimum of 10 years if council nominated in one of the following disciplines: accounting, insurance and financial planning, law, philanthropy, or trust services.
- Devote at least one third of one’s professional time to estate planning.
- Hold one or more of the following credentials or degrees in active status and good standing regardless of the number of years of experience: JD (active law license required if only credential held), CPA, CLU®, CFP®, ChFC®, CPWA®, CFA, CAP® (if applying with CAP® only must take one required course MSFP615 regardless of the number of years of experience), CSPG, CTFA, MSFS, and MST.
- Current membership in an affiliated local estate planning council.
- Earn a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education, 15 of which must be in estate planning topics every two calendar years.
- Participate in the annual recertification and dues renewal process every calendar year.
